I am loving acrylics. I am not touching oil ever again if I can help it. Or something like that. I love the textures I created in this painting, so much that I decided to keep her. She was so fun to make. I am saying to hell with perfection, I love this kind of colorful quirkiness. I think I am going to make more of her.
Really, the glass on the frame does this painting no justice. But I was too lazy to bring her out for a photograph. ;) (Photographed her outside on my front porch).
In other news, I live in one of the many suburbs of Minneapolis, it’s alright it’s a large place… it will take some work for you to find me, so I can say this out loud.
Today I am going to look up fun things to do in the city. Gotta get out of the “burbs” seriously, it kills you slowly, I am becoming such suburban girl that going downtown can be quite the experience. That’s how bad it is. Argh, that feeling grosses me out.
Where I live, it’s dead quiet. Lots of woods, swamps, one city light per block, mosquitos, lots of deers, squirrels, rabbits, yet to sight wolves but I hear they are there.
I am all for nature, but sometimes I just want other life forms and some ethnic culture.
