Dear Mr. Perry,
I appreciate your commitment to giving Black folks jobs in front of and behind the camera, having opened the largest Black owned film production studio in the country in Atlanta last year. You own the rights to all of your films, which is not something most filmmakers can say. Your love and concern...
You know what I wonder?

No, I know you don’t know.
Anywhat, I’ll just say that I sat through plenty of Nancy Reagan/Ronald Reagan/Bush 41 shit through school and my mom and dad didn’t ONCE freak out or become frothing mad.
In fact, they didn’t say much of anything. And my parents are insane liberals and can hardly participate in regular society, due to their lefty views on life...
Here's a thought, fuckers.

Why don’t you encourage your children to watch the pres. seeing as he is, you know, our pres. and ignoring or denying that fact doesn’t change it, and then when they come home, you can discuss what they saw. And you can explain what is wrong with his evil plan of telling children stay in school.
Now remember, kids. Stay in school. Turn off the TV. The workers control the...

Dear mom.

A mother passing by her daughter’s bedroom was astonished to see the bed was nicely made and everything was picked up. Then she saw an envelope propped up prominently on the center of the bed. It was addressed, “Mom.” With the worst premonition, she opened the envelope and read the letter with trembling hands: Dear Mom: It is with great regret and sorrow that I’m writing you....

This and That
Life has been crazy. First Michael Jackson dying, then my mother falling really ill and landing in the hospital, I had some serious heart to heart talk with the Powers that Be that mostly involved screaming and cussing. Thankfully, my mother came out almost back to normal again. She has been recovering and we are taking it day by day.
Ok, so what started out with me wanting a side gig has turned...

Need to shed this sensitivity
about my art.
The past few days I have been very busy creating small drawings for my etsy shop. While trying to understand the whole business of selling art on the Internet.
I am trying hard to not let this “selling art” thing consume me, but it is. For one, I am starting to realize now just how possessive I am of my art work. each piece I create, even the ones that I dislike open...
Emo MJ ness, just you know moving the blog along.

yo, Michael Jackson was rell genius and rell fucked up. I think he is important- personally and in a larger cultural sense, only so far as we can understand both of those without negating either. This is a man for whom performance was made his life; that young Michael? He may have looked more whole but it sounds like already we had our knives and forks out, cutting bits from here or...

Before Michael Jackson’s passing, Chris Brown, his “supposed” heir to the pop throne, was primed and ready to step into MJ’s spot. But when news of the scandal involving Rihanna hit the net, Chris Brown’s star immediately faded. Would a tribute to the “King of Pop” by Chris Brown be the catalyst for a major comeback? (bossip)
I feel like there are interesting conversations...

I am feeling decidedly more sentimental about this than I’d care to admit.

For me he died a long time ago. His death almost came as no surprise. Whatever was left for the past few years was just a shadow. The...

I guess since that is a plate from the 16th century it’s about the idea of evil as not just being itself a mixture of cloven hooved animal and woman (ie the thing that exists in between states) but also in addition to the animal the idea that a feminine marker referenced the fact that women’s bodies were constructed as dangerously permeable themselves and in an in between state of flux -...
